One product, built properly
Talk is a video editor with a natural-language interface. Most editors answer “more power” with more buttons. We think the interesting problem is the opposite one.
Say it, and it happens
The microphone is the primary control rather than a feature on a toolbar. One instruction can combine operations that would otherwise be separate trips through a menu.

A real timeline underneath
Prompting is a faster route to the same edit, not a walled garden. Everything the AI does is an ordinary timeline mutation you can take over at any point.

What we optimise for
Four positions that decide most of the arguments internally.
On-device wherever the model fits
Local processing is faster, works without a connection, and means footage you shot of other people is not sent to a vendor they have never heard of. Where a model genuinely cannot run on a phone, we name the exception instead of blurring it.
A free tier you can actually ship from
No watermark on any tier and no time limit. A free tier that brands your work is an advert wearing a trial as a costume, and it teaches people to distrust the paid one.
Describe the result, not the procedure
Editing software has spent thirty years adding controls. The interesting problem is removing them — letting someone say what they want and having the timeline reorganise itself around the request.
Claims you can check
Every number on this site is verifiable from the App Store listing or the app itself. We would rather publish a small true figure than a large impressive one.
The company
Efficient Compute LTD is a small software company. We ship consumer iOS applications, and right now that means Talk, released in June 2026. We are not an agency and we do not take contract work.
Feature requests and bug reports reach a developer rather than a ticket queue. If you have found something broken, that is the fastest way to get it fixed.
